What & Why

What is Ceramic Coating?

01
The Science
Ceramic coating is a liquid nano-polymer that chemically bonds to your car's painted surface. Once cured, it forms a permanent semi-hard protective layer — a structural upgrade to your paint's surface chemistry.
02
Why Your Car Needs It
Hyderabad's heat, acid rain, bird droppings, and UV exposure attack your paint daily. Without protection, paint oxidises and fades within years. Ceramic coating stops that clock.
03
Hydrophobic Effect
Water contact angles above 100° mean water beads and sheets off instantly, taking dirt with it. Your car stays cleaner between washes — and washing becomes effortless.
04
Long-Term Value
A professionally applied ceramic coating protects for 2–5 years. Protected paint retains resale value, reduces detailing costs, and keeps your car looking showroom-fresh year after year.
The Difference

Professional studio vs Showroom dealer.

01
What Showrooms Actually Apply
Most showrooms upsell a generic OEM coating at the delivery stage — products designed for dealer volume, not performance. They're the modern equivalent of old-school Teflon: a thin film, not a proper ceramic bond.
02
No Process, No Prep
Ceramic coating is only as good as the surface under it. Showrooms skip decontamination, clay bar, and paint correction entirely. Without proper prep, the coating won't bond correctly — and won't last.
03
Similar Price, Very Different Result
Showroom packages often cost as much as a professional application — sometimes more. What you're paying for is convenience at delivery, not quality. The product and the process are not the same.
04
What a Professional Studio Does Differently
At DRVNZ, every car gets a full decontamination wash, iron fallout removal, clay bar, and paint correction before we touch a coating applicator. The product is professional-grade. The process is documented. The result lasts.
Technical Specs

What ceramic coating does.

PropertyDetail
Base ChemistrySilicon Dioxide (SiO₂) nano-ceramic polymer — bonds at molecular level to clear coat
Hardness7H to 10H on pencil hardness scale — harder than your factory clear coat
Water Contact AngleAbove 100° — strong hydrophobic effect, water beads and rolls off
UV ProtectionBlocks UV oxidation that causes paint fading, dulling, and chalking over time
Chemical ResistanceResists bird droppings, acid rain, industrial fallout, brake dust, and harsh cleaners
Gloss EnhancementLocks in paint depth and adds a wet-look reflectivity not achievable with wax
Durability2–5 years with proper maintenance; graphene grades can last 5–7 years

Application Process

Prep. Coat. Cure.

01
Prep

Thorough wash, iron decontamination, clay bar, and paint correction where needed. The coating is only as good as the surface beneath — we don't skip prep.

02
Coat

IPA panel wipe to remove all oils and residues. Ceramic applied panel by panel using professional applicator pads in a controlled, dust-free studio.

03
Cure

Coating cures 24–48 hours under controlled conditions. Final inspection under studio lighting. Drive-away time confirmed. Post-care instructions provided.

Before & After
Is It Right For You?

Is ceramic coating for my car?

I just bought a new car. Should I get it done?

Yes — the best time is right out of the showroom. Lock in that factory finish and protect it before any damage happens.

My car is 2–3 years old with swirl marks. Can I still coat it?

Absolutely. We perform paint correction before coating. The car is brought back to a clean base, then coated — you'll be surprised how good a 3-year-old car can look.

Does ceramic coating prevent all scratches?

No coating prevents all scratches. Ceramic adds hardness and sacrificial protection. For physical impact protection, PPF is the better choice. Many customers do both.

How long does it last?

2–5 years depending on grade and maintenance. Graphene grades last 5–7 years. We include post-care instructions and free yearly maintenance check-ups.
